Ultrasonography

At The Woodbridge Vets, we use the advanced Sonoscape ProPet 70 for ultrasonography, providing high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. We believe ultrasound is an essential extension of our clinical examinations, often incorporating it directly into consultations for quicker, more precise results. This non-invasive tool allows us to visualise internal organs in real-time, aiding in the diagnosis of conditions affecting the heart, liver, kidneys, and other soft tissues. Whether for routine checks or more complex cases, our use of ultrasonography ensures a thorough assessment, helping us create tailored treatment plans to best meet your pet's health needs.

Echocardiography (Heart Scans)

At Woodbridge Vets, we offer echocardiography, an advanced ultrasound technique used to assess your pet’s heart health. This non-invasive procedure provides detailed images of the heart’s structure and function, helping us diagnose conditions such as heart murmurs, valve problems, or cardiomyopathies. Kyle, who is currently studying for his certificate in cardiology, ensures the highest level of care for pets with heart concerns. With echocardiography, we can evaluate the heart in real-time, allowing us to develop personalised treatment plans and monitor ongoing conditions effectively, all while prioritising your pet’s comfort.

Ultrasound Guided Biopsies

At Woodbridge Vets, we use ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations (FNAs) and biopsies to safely and accurately collect tissue or fluid samples from internal organs or masses. These minimally invasive procedures allow us to obtain precise samples for diagnostic purposes without requiring surgery. Using real-time ultrasound guidance ensures a high level of accuracy in targeting the area of concern. FNAs and biopsies are commonly employed to investigate lumps, abnormal growths, or internal conditions, aiding in the diagnosis of various diseases. These techniques offer a quick, effective, and low-stress method for diagnosing issues while minimising discomfort and recovery time for your pet.
